RED RIBBON WEEK 2010 Poster Contest

All posters must be turned in by 5:00 pm on October 15th to be included in the contest

2010 Theme: "I am Drug-Free"

WHO? This contest is open to all students K - 8th who attend public or private schools in Botetourt County, Craig County, Roanoke County, City of Roanoke and City of Salem.
WHY?

3 Reasons to Participate:

  1. It's FUN!!!
  2. You will be able to use your creative skills to spread a positive message
  3. Prizes!

The first place winner from each grade level will win a $25 gift certificate, the second place winner will receive a $15 gift certificate, and the third place winner will receive a $10 gift certificate.

WHEN?

All posters must be turned in by October 15th.

Judging will take place during Red Ribbon Week, October 24-October 30, 2010. 

Winners will be announced on October 31, 2010 during the RED RIBBON WEEK Candlelight Vigil at the Hotel Roanoke.

Official Rules and Things to Know:

  • This contest is open to all students K - 8th who attend public or private schools in Botetourt County, Craig County, Roanoke County, City of Roanoke and City of Salem. (Students do not have to attend a school that is participating in the RAYSAC RED RIBBON WEEK School Contest to enter.)
  • Posters must address the theme stated above on poster board no larger than 22" x 28". On the back of the poster, please put your name, age, grade, teacher or guidance counselor name and school name.
  • Entries will be judged on originality of artwork, originality of ideas, creativity and neatness. The student should produce all artwork. All posters must be turned in to RAYSAC on or before October 15th.
  • Entries should be submitted to RAYSAC, 3517 Brandon Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24018.
  • NO POSTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER October 15, 2010, 5:00 pm.
  • Judging will take place October 24-October 30, 2009.  Winners will be announced on October 31, 2010 during the RED RIBBON WEEK Candlelight Vigil at the Hotel Roanoke.
  • All posters become the property of RAYSAC and may be used in public service advertisement campaigns.
